We process our customers' data in accordance with federal data protection regulations (Data Protection Act, DSG) and the EU GDPR within the ordering processes in our online shop, to enable them to select and order the chosen products and services, as well as their payment and delivery or handling.
The processed data includes master data (inventory data), communication data, contract data, and payment data. The individuals affected by the processing are our customers, interested parties, and other business partners. The processing is carried out for the purpose of providing contractual services in the context of operating an online shop, billing, delivery, and customer service. In this context, we use session cookies, for example, to store the contents of the shopping cart, and permanent cookies, for instance, to store the login status.
The processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b (processing for the performance of a contract) and c (legal retention obligations) of the GDPR. Users have the option to create a user account, where they can primarily view their orders. During the registration process, users are required to provide necessary information. User accounts are not public and cannot be indexed by search engines, such as Google. If users terminate their user account, their data related to the user account will be deleted unless its retention is required for commercial or tax reasons, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Information in the customer account remains stored until its deletion, followed by archiving if there's a legal obligation. It's the responsibility of users to store their data in the event of termination before the end of the contract.
During registration, re-registration, and the use of our online services, we store the IP address and the time of each user action. The storage is based on our legitimate interests as well as those of the users in protecting against misuse and other unauthorized use. Generally, these data are not passed on to third parties unless it is necessary to pursue our claims or there is a legal obligation to do so according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.
The deletion takes place after the expiry of legal warranty and comparable obligations; the necessity of retaining the data is reviewed at irregular intervals. In the case of legal archiving obligations, deletion occurs after their expiration.
