This family challenge set the creative wheels in motion for Oliver and Denis. "I knew I had to do something when one morning I hit a mouse instead of my alarm clock," Oliver remembers, laughing. In 2019, he began to put his vision into action.

When Denis joined in 2022, he brought not only his business degree from HSG but also his unwavering business sense and a dash of humor. "My brother is the tech whiz; I ensure that our cat flap not only works but also succeeds in the market," Denis comments with a wink.

The immense potential of their idea was clear: millions of cat owners worldwide were looking for a solution to this age-old problem. "We want cat owners to finally breathe a sigh of relief – without fear of little, fluffy 'surprises' on their carpets," adds Oliver.

With the official founding of Flappie in 2023, a dream came true. The team, a vibrant mix of animal lovers and technical experts, is tirelessly working to make cats and their owners happy. "Our vision is simple: a world where cats can enjoy their adventures without their humans needing a vacuum cleaner," laughs Denis. By doing so, Flappie provides peace of mind and a tranquil home to cat owners, ensuring a harmonious living environment for both pets and their families.
